Hello!
I have been a teacher since 2003. I taught 8 years in kindergarten and now I am having a wonderful adventure in second grade. I graduated from Texas State with a degree in Early Childhood through 4th grade Eduction. (I also attended Baylor for business management.) I am also certified in ESL and GT. I also teach at technology conferences around Texas (and Florida)!!
My husband, Chris, and I have two amazing boys: Trent, who is a 7th grader and Tristan James, who is in 2nd. We share our house with our dog Dixie (a basset hound). We are also foster parents so at different times we have an extra kid or two and love it!
I HAVE:
a real PASSION for teaching! I truly LOVE my job. I am looking forward to a wonderful, exciting and learning-filled year.
MY PHILOSOPHY:
Children are the center. Everything I do is for the greater good of my students. Their needs come first. My job is to show each child the skills they need to be successful and how to use those skills in meaningful ways. I also feel parent involvement is very important to a child's learning success. Parents that care about school and learning have students that feel the same way. My door is always open to you for volunteering or talking.
